National Commission for Women initiated various steps to improve the status of women and worked for their economic empowerment. Centre for Gender Equity Studies in collaboration with National Commission for Women organised a seminar on “VIOLENCE IN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS” on 5th March 2022 in which eminent speakers Ms. Chitra Panchkaran, Mr. Jiten Jain, Ms. Rashmi Anand, and ACP Neeraj Tokas, shared their views on the safety of women and cybercrime against them. Ms. Anshu Malini, General Secretary of Women Development Cell also attended the session.
Organised another seminar in collaboration with the National Commission for Women on “REPRODUCTIVE CHOICE OF WOMEN” on 16th November 2021.
Nazariya, a Queer Feminist Resource Group, was formed in October 2014 by a group of Delhi-based queer feminist activists. It was started to sensitise the work and culture of groups and individuals working on issues of gender-based violence, livelihoods, education, and health from a queer perspective through research & evaluations, capacity building, and advocacy.
Centre for Gender Equity Studies in collaboration with Nazariya organised an add-on-course on “QUEERNESS AND SOCIETY” on 21st January 2022.
Established in 2009 this is an NGO that promotes equal rights of marginalised groups, especially women and girls, to lead a violence-free life, develop their capabilities, have ownership and control of resources, and participate and be included in decision making. CEQUIN works across a wide spectrum of areas affecting women and girls such as violence, leadership, economic empowerment, and health and wellbeing.
Women Development Cell in collaboration with CEQUIN organised Training sessions on “GENDER SENSITIZATION” on 25th September 2021. Under this, ten sessions were held on their respective days. These training sessions were in online mode and all students from Delhi University, as well as other Universities, attended the training sessions.

Prachi Educational Society (PES) is a registered voluntary organization, established in 1993 and dedicated to the development of women, children, and marginalized groups in the community.
The Centre for Gender Equity Studies organized a Declamation competition on day 2 of Women’s week. The topic of the competition was, “Can law reduce Violence in Intimate Relationships?” on 7th March 2022 in collaboration with the Prachi education society (PES).
Women Development Cell, in collaboration with BREAKTHROUGH, organized a webinar on STAND-UP AGAINST STREET HARASSMENT, on 31st July, 2021, wherein the organization talked how to prioritize your own safety while intervening and how to respond if you get harassed.
