JDMC, in keeping with the vision of its founder Shri Brij Krishan Chandiwaala, established its Equal Opportunity Cell in 2008. Since its inception, the cell has made tireless efforts to impart quality education to its students with disabilities. The EOC of JDMC, along with the EOC of Delhi University, has worked towards sensitizing the academic community and students about the problems and the strengths of the differently-abled.
In 2011 Enabling Units were formed across all colleges of Delhi University, where the main focus was to improve and provide facilities for its students with disabilities. Since its inception, the Enabling Unit has worked towards empowering approximately 200 students. The Unit has not only generated resources but has provided students with opportunities whereby they have been able to equip themselves with jobs in the Indian Railways, Banks, DDA, and in Teaching.
