The program aims to assess perceptions of the students on issues such as gender violence communication etc
The interactive workshops are in the form of 4 modules and these cover the issues of
The sessions not only teach participants to "recognize" situations but also to recognise that they can happen to you and that that there is no shame in voicing pain or talking about shame
The BIP most importantly teaches students that they have an agency.
The focus of the program is on the need to RISE i.e.,
R= Reflect
I= Inform
S= Support
E= Engage
When the students complete the workshops they will be able to
---Reflect on gender, communicate, question sexual violence
---Inform on forms of violence and speak up
---Support others
---Engage with violence by changing attitudes and behavior
Once the students complete their modules they have received a certificate from the University of Muenster and JDMC together.
From 2022 onwards the certificates will be given to students by Women Power Connect and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung
