TALK ON ‘CAREERS IN THE SOCIAL SECTOR’ – 11TH JANUARY, 2022

The JDMC-IQAC Centre for Career Counselling, Career Opportunity and Skill Enhancement and JDMC-IQAC Centre for Extension and Outreach Activities in collaboration with Indian School of Development Management organised a session on ‘Careers in the Social sector’ on 11th January, 2022. The speaker for this session was Mr. Ravi Sreedharan, Co-founder and President, ISDM. It was a very comprehensive and interactive session. A total of 180 participants attended this session– Prof. Swati Pal, Principal JDMC, Faculty and students of JDMC.

Demystifying Admission Process in DU – 30th July, 2021

JOY OF GIVING WEEK - 2ND OCTOBER, 2021 - 8TH OCTOBER, 2021

The Joy of Giving also known as Daan Utsav is a festival of giving, which is celebrated in the first week of October every year. The JDMC-IQAC Centre for Extension and Outreach Activities celebrated Joy of Giving Week from 2nd October, 2021 to 8th October, 2021. This year we were able to reach out to children in various states (Noida, Uttar Pradesh; Bharatpur, Rajasthan, Srinagar, Gurugram, Haryana; Baraut, UP; Rohtak, Haryana, Purnea,Bihar; Ambikapur, chhattisgarh) and make this a PAN India initiative. The Department of HDFE, Economics Department and Hindi Department celebrated this week.

Activities of Joy of Giving by the Department of HDFE

• Day 1- Nav Jeevan Prayas Foundation (2nd October, 2021)

We distributed stationary items, eatables and masks to the children.

• Day 2 - Robin Hood Army (3rd October, 2021)

We distributed stationary items, soaps and so on in the Gole market slum cluster, Robin Hood Army.

• Day 3 and Day 4 (4th and 5th October, 2021) - Students distributed various things to the children near their residential area.

• Day 5 - Children of the World Organisation (6th October, 2021)

We distributed infant foods to the Children of the World Organisation. Some students also spread joy in the community by distributing various things to the children near their residential area

• Day 6 – SPID (Society For Participatory Integrated Development) (7th October, 2021)

We distributed some stationary items and biscuits to the children in SPID.

• Day 7 - Love Care Foundation (8th October, 2021)

- We distributed lunch boxes, water bottles, snacks and cakes to the children in the LCF.

- We distributed some stationary items and biscuits in Madhu Vihar, Dwarka.

- Some students also distributed various things to the children near their residential area. One student screened a movie for children.

Activities of Joy of Giving by the Economics Department

The students of the Economics department conducted a donation drive and distributed stationary items and eatable to the children in Bal Sahyog.

Activities of Joy of Giving by Parag (Hindi Department)

Students distributed stationary items, masks, food items, clothes, gave free tuition classes to women near their residential areas.

Demystifying Admission Process in DU – 30th July, 2021

JDMC-IQAC Centre for Extension and Outreach Activities organised an online workshop on Demystifying Admission Process in DU on 30th July, 2021 for the students of DTEA Schools (7 branches). The main aim of the workshop was to inform the students about the available courses in DU and to clear the queries of the students regarding admissions. Around 161 participants (students and teachers) joined the workshop.

JDMC-IQAC Centre for Extension and Outreach Activities will be organising an online workshop on Demystifying Admission Process in DU on 5th August, 2021 for the students of DPS Numaligarh, Assam and Nutan Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad.

 


Demystifying Admission Process in DU – 28th July, 2021

JDMC-IQAC Centre for Extension and Outreach Activities organised an online workshop on Demystifying Admission Process in DU on 28th July, 2021 for the students of Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini. The main aim of the workshop was to inform the students about the available courses in DU and to clear the queries of the students regarding admissions. Around 120 students participated in the workshop.

JDMC-IQAC Centre for Extension and Outreach Activities will be organising an online workshop on Demystifying Admission Process in DU on 4th August, 2021 for the students of the following schools:-

  3. GGSSS Avantika Sector 1, Rohini
  4. SKV, Pocket IV, Mayur Vihar, Phase 1
  5. Ramjas Girls Sr. Sec. School, Daryaganj
  6. Govt. Sarvodaya Co-ed. Vidyalaya, Sector 8, Rohini.

Around 240 participants (students and teachers) joined the workshop. The main aim of the workshop was to inform the students about the available courses in DU and to clear the queries of the students regarding admissions.

Outreach activity is contributing, helping and reaching out to those who cannot help themselves due to various reasons. This initiative focuses on the following:-

  • To strengthen the status of underprivileged people.
  • To share joy and happiness and spread smiles.
  • To encourage giving and build ideals of compassion and generosity in everyone.
  • To empower people to give back to the society in the way they choose- time, material, money or love.
